Antique For Me!

Messy Flat lay

Which of the pieces do you like best?

Wanted to post some of my antique jewelry that I stole from my mother, some of these pieces belonged to her mother so you can say they have been in my family for a good amount of time.
I remember sneaking to my mom's closet when I was a little mischievous girl. She had a jewelry box full of items from her mother as well as some of her aunts for sure. Boy, did I love playing with that jewelry box!!
Luckily for me, mi mama gave most of the best pieces to me, making me think that maybe  I wasn't such a naughty girl at all....pfff (yeah right!).
Well, naughty or not...I got these...and thats all that matters in my little world.
Enjoy!

PS. Please forgive me for my messy flat lay...I will do better next time ;)

Ohh...there is a new sweet place I am enjoying lately...Ft. Lauderdale. During this visit, I found out cute local stores, Italian boutiques and adorable ice cream parlors to fall in love with...

Cool no? I can't wait to go back! Still so many shops to see, so many restaurants to go eat and much more sun to take. Happy Memorial Day weekend everybody...don't forget to remember, though :)! besos! Gretchen

Blue Crush

Turn your heads everyone....

My Lomo....

My new stone necklace

Just thought I would post some of my favorite pictures that I had stored in my computer...
I had forgotten all about my lomo camera, and after finding these pictures taken with it, my love for lomography started all over again...so I went crazy searching for it...and FOUND IT!
This lovely necklace was just love at first sight. For all of those who do not know me, I am a stone fan, freak or whatever you may want to call a person that has rocks all over her house; bathroom, flower vases, candle holders etc...
I had been wanting a necklace like this for ages and the colors are so intense and matte, and it goes with EVERYTHING!! and I mean...everything!
Hasta  pronto!!!

Our President

Well, after a whole week of nasty weather in DC last week; I was able to enjoy the outdoors of my city during this weekend. It's so nice out, I am hoping it can stay like this for a long time. Everyone is buying flowers, walking the dogs, sunning in the park and buying fresh produce from our local markets. Es un sueno!! Gretchen

For the love of ART

Tracey Emin is one of the conceptual artist's that I most admire and respect. Her rawness, sincerity and capacity to express her inner passions, fears and desires are shocking yet admirable.
She lets you inside her world and her art is an autobiography. Explicit, clever, sexual, strong, delicate and feminine all wrapped into one. Maybe one of the reasons I like this artist so much is because women are so afraid...afraid of feeling, of expressing what they feel, of saying out loud what they want, what they desire. Society and culture have made us women waaaay too afraid. For all of you, this is Tracey Emin. I like her...I really do.
